The Montreal Council of Women grieves along side of the Muslim Community, and all whose lives are impacted by the brutal tragedy and heinous crime that has left a young child injured and alone, his grandmother, parents and sister murdered.

Canadians, Indigenous families, and communities continue to mourn the 215 children whose remains were found in a mass gravesite at the Kamloops Indian Residential School site on unceded Secwépemc Territory.

In 2020, Montreal Council members were encouraged to sign and support a petition calling for mail-in ballots for the 2021 municipal elections this November.
