Quebecers have billions of their retirement dollars invested in the Quebec Pension Plan, but is that plan equipped to weather the financial turbulence of climate change? And can those retirement dollars be leveraged to help find solutions to the climate crisis? Adam Scott is a climate change policy expert who heads the Canadian organization Shift: Action for Pension Wealth and Planet Health. Join the Montreal Council of Women on Thursday, April 3 at noon via Zoom to find out how the QPP stacks up against other pension plans in terms of climate adaptation, and how we can lobby for change for a greener retirement for us all.

Adam is a climate change expert with extensive domestic and international experience in policy, energy and finance, as well as campaign design and execution. He has a lifelong commitment to supporting the transition to a zero-carbon economy in Canada. At Shift, he works with wide-ranging stakeholders to bring international climate leadership into Canada’s financial sector. Previously, Adam was Senior Advisor to Oil Change International and manager of Environmental Defence Canada’s Climate & Energy program.
