A Day in the Life of CJAD 800

Trudie will speak a bit about her experiences as a woman coming up through the ranks in radio, and share some interesting details of the various ventures she embarked on.

Trudie Mason

Trudie Mason

Trudie Mason is a born and bred Montrealer. She attended Lachine High School (now Lakeside Academy) and the Concordia University Journalism Department. During her final year at university, she got her first job in radio, in the tiny newsroom at CHOM-FM. After graduation, she worked for a year at CFCF Radio before jumping to CJAD 800 in 1985.

Over the years at CJAD, Trudie has been an overnight newscaster, a reporte/assignement editor, a talk show host, an opinion panelist, and now a morning newscaster. In addition to her work in radio, Trudie also taught Radio News and the Adavanced Radio Newsroom course at her alma mater, Cocordia University, for 20 years.

Trudie and her husband Kevin have two children, now grown, and live in Pierrefonds.
