MCW HOLIDAY GATHERING

MCW Members are cordially invited to our holiday gathering- an online opportunity to spend time catching up in advance of the holidays- and share our good wishes with each other.
We are honoured to be joined by Captain (Navy) Bonnie Mason (Chief of Staff and the Director of Chaplaincy Strategic Support in the Office of the Chaplain General-Canadian Armed Forces) who will be talking about her work as a chaplain in a multi-faith environment.

About Our Presentater
Captain Bonnie Mason
A Nova Scotian, our distinguished guest was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in 1998. Her first military assignment was with the Royal Canadian Navy Fleet in Halifax. Deployed to the Persian Gulf she received the South Western Asian Medal. She then spent two years at the Canadian Forces Chaplain School as an instructor and then as the Course Director.
Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant- she was again deployed to Kandahar with the Joint Task Force Afghanistan, where she received the General Campaign Star. Captain (N) Mason (noting that Captain in the Navy is a senior rank) has served at both NORAD and the Canadian OUTCAN and at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado.
It was during her service with NORAD that she was awarded the Deputy Commander of NORAD commendation and promoted to the rank of Commander.
